What is MiniGuru ?

Why MiniGuru.in is created ?

“Children learn from anything and everything they see. They learn wherever they are, not just in special learning places.”

-John Holt, Learning All the Time

Every child acts here as a guru to the peer children, hence we named the community ‘MiniGuru’. Their uploaded videos and communications among themselves are learning opportunities to each other.

MiniGuru is a hub of children’s dreams and ideas, encouraging children to execute at their pace and interest. We help schools and parents to create a physical space [named T-LAB] for their child/children which is a resource repository with a variety of tools and materials. The children decide their own projects and plan with the help of resources organized in MiniGuru and after completing the project physically in T-LAB, they share their creativity in the form of video with the peer community at MiniGuru. They also earn credit in the form of education currency at their virtual wallet at MiniGuru which they spent in planning a next project.

Tinkering LAB [T-Lab]

What is T-Lab ?

T-LAB is a dedicated space for children's creativity. We create T-LAB as a translation of the Natural learning model on ground, which becomes an attraction to children.

T-LAB aspires to give space to children to learn and grow in an environment of trust, responsibility and freedom. It consists of different work stations and an ever-growing repository of materials. Skilled facilitators are available to suggest various dimensions of the project they are engaged in. They also help the children to improve the design and processes.

Combining with MiniGuru, the children of T-LAB would get connected with a global community of creative children.

From Founder's Desk:

“When students were asked whether they have ever been bored in class, 83percent of NAIS students answered that they were bored sometimes (50percent) or often (33percent), compared with 86 percent of public-school students (36percent) were bored sometimes; 50percent were bored often) – HSSSE report 2016.”

This statement is just to bring the issue that significant numbers of students are disengaged in schools.

Historically, the schools are designed to keep away, children’s dreams, aspirations, interests out of it and the pace of learning and background of individual children is not taken into account.

Allow me to state

1.Schools are not academically attractive places for children”.

2.The fact is “children don’t enjoy the way their education is done”.
